the sun across the coasts.
was flying home yesterday.
the sun right on the horizon.
glanced at it for a second.
then looked away.…
realized it was setting at that very moment.
HAD to look back
and then couldn’t tear my eyes away. for the next minute, i watched as it crept down and down over the dark blue divide. inch by inch.
moments later it was all but gone.
the whole time, you were on my mind.
